Ella is a creative entrepreneur and public engagement expert. She is currently a Henry Moore Foundation Trustee, sitting on the Audiences and Education committee, and also supports the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) Board by sitting on their Development sub-group.
Ella recently spent six years heading a UK-wide program at the British Library, which focused on community and public engagement, before founding Art School Plus, a social enterprise which supports and connects early career artists to make art in the public realm. In this work Ella is supported by an impressive team of advisors, freelancers and contractors.
Alongside directing Art School Plus, Ella leads other sector engagement work, including project managing a major artwork for Yinka Shonibare and his studio. She has previously worked for the internationally renowned artist Sir Antony Gormley.
Ella’s expertise lies in innovation and entrepreneurship within the cultural sector, strategic partnerships leading to high-impact audience engagement, access and inclusion within the arts, as well as public realm opportunities.
