Lucy Shaw is the founder and director of Cultural Associates Oxford (CAO). She is a cultural entrepreneur who specialises in strategic leadership, organisational change, workforce diversity, and inclusive engagement. She has grown CAO into a thriving creative company with an extensive portfolio, undertaking work across the globe with diverse clients.
Lucy is also currently the Programme Director for the Saïd Business School’s Strategic Leadership Programme, one of top executive leadership programmes in the world, convening senior C-Suite executive leaders from across the globe in an experiential, immersive and creative space.
She previously worked for the University of Oxford’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums Division (GLAM) where she was Programme Director for Oxford Cultural Leaders (OCL) - an international executive leadership programme for museums, culture and the arts, which she launched in 2015 in partnership with the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
She was also Head of Programmes and Partnerships where she worked with the divisional office team leading on vision and strategy. She managed the GLAM Partnership and Engagement Team, working across the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Libraries, Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum, History of Science Museum, Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum developing and delivering community engagement and inclusive volunteering programmes. Lucy also oversaw cross-divisional programmes and activities related to programming, audience development, public engagement with research, and partnerships and led a University-wide, wellbeing and social prescribing partnership with cultural sector professionals, humanities researchers, medics, scientists .
Lucy is a trustee of Neon Dance, an internationally renowned company that engages a diverse and digital population of artists and people in unique experiences. She is also a qualified performance coach and action learning set facilitator.
